About Me

Dear future client,

I'm Eliana, founder of Hearth and Whisker, and I'm so happy you found me!

Animals and peaceful homes have always been my natural habitat. I created Hearth and Whisker to offer the kind of care I deeply believe in: calm, respectful, and rooted in presence, not just ticking boxes, but truly holding space for the pets and spaces I'm entrusted with.

I have an instinctive understanding of what it takes to maintain a serene, welcoming household from the flow of a kitchen to the quiet details that make a house feel loved in your absence.

Over the years, I've gone on to care for all kinds of households- city apartments, countryside farms, and private estates with staff, and I am aware that discretion, trust, and high standards are simply expected from me wherever I am.

My work reflects my attitude; I am attentive, thoughtful, and unobtrusively professional, the kind of presence that brings comfort without disruption.

I'm certified in Reiki, and while I don't practise formally, I carry that calm, intuitive energy into every household. Whether I'm supporting an anxious pet, tending to your home, or preparing a nourishing meal for your return, I aim to offer more than just practical help; I offer a sense of care and calm you can feel.

My background also includes time as a makeup artist, where I honed my attention to detail and learned how to show up gently and respectfully in others' personal spaces. That experience now flows into Hearth and Whisker, where every stay is handled with soul, sensitivity, and genuine care.

At Hearth and Whisker, I offer bespoke house and pet sitting for those who want more than just someone to "pop in." Whether you're away for work, travel, or simply in need of a break, I provide thoughtful, grounded care for your animals, your home, and the energy that holds it all.

  • Minimum Booking Durations

    ✔ North West England (Manchester, Liverpool, surrounding areas): 3 nights

    ✔ Rest of UK & Ireland: 7 nights

    ✔ International sits: 10 nights

    All dogs must be able to walk well on and off the lead.

  • House & Pet Sitting

    ✔ Overnight stay in your home.
    ✔ Care for pets of all sizes.
    ✔ Feeding, cuddles, play, and companionship.
    ✔ Basic home care (plants watered, bins out, mail collected).
    ✔ Updates sent daily or every few days - your choice.
    ✔ Includes 1 dog walk up to 60 mins.
    ✔ £65 per night for 2 dogs.
    ✔ Administering medication/supplements.

Booking & Payment

To secure your booking:

  • A 50% deposit is required upon confirmation.

( Remainder must be paid the day our sit starts)

Payment Methods:

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer or preferred method by arrangement.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking, the deposit is non-refundable. This secures your dates and covers potential loss of other work. Thank you for understanding.

  • I would 100% recommend Eliana as a pet sitter. She is a wonderful person who truly loves animals and puts their needs first. This was not an easy sit for her as the three dogs varied greatly in age, needs and energy levels, especially the 15-month-old Staffy. However, she managed to give each one of them time, exercise and attention even through two storms. Eliana was very good communicating during the planning process and during the trip she posted lots of photos and videos. On our return the three dogs looking healthy and happy. We were very fortunate to spend some lovely time with Eliana during handovers and she even treated us to a wonderful meal on our return. She is such a beautiful soul and we were so impressed with the way she looked after our cats and communicated with us that we have booked her again for our Christmas holiday! From the moment we met Eliana she put us at ease and answered any questions we had. She messaged us at least once a day sometimes more, and sent us little videos of our cats being fussed and stroked. I am always worried about going away and leaving my beloved little cat April but, right from our initial video call, I could tell that Ellie was a lovely person with similar values to myself and I knew that I would be leaving April in safe hands.   • May 2023-1 week 5 days) Ellie is such a star. Thrust into a busy dog filled household with all its idiosyncrasies, she handled everything thrown at her with aplomb. Initially a little nervous about looking after 3 horses, 3 goats and an alpaca as well as the 2 dogs she very soon settled in and found her confidence and I'm sure would be enthusiastic about looking after such animals in the future. Fantastic communication throughout and took amazing care of our puppy (regular walks, cuddles and baths were just some of what they got up to!) We were nervous about leaving him for the first time and she was phenomenal. He will miss her, I am sure! The house was also very well looked after and clean when we got back.   • We were lucky enough to find Ellie who was a wonderful Housesitter. We talked and messaged lots prior to her coming and really got to know each other. She asked so many questions about the animals. When she arrived little Lola just took to her. When she was here it was the boiling heatwave and she went above and beyond to keep the pets comfy and cool. Ice in their water, closing curtains, checking on them at night and letting them outside. We got frequent texts and photos whilst away of our fur babies. the house was spotless, pets cared for and even went to the effort of having breakfast in when got back after our really long flight.   • Eliana was the perfect House Sitter. She looked after our house and two lively dogs (a Hungarian Vizsla and a Cavalier King Charles) and four chickens for two weeks. Her Q questions at the interview stage were very sensible and probing - which was reassuring. Her communication before and during the sit was immaculate. The dogs were clearly very well looked after and happy, and the house was spotless when we returned. She even left us a delicious meal in the fridge, which was extremely welcome after a long journey.   • Eli helped us last minute to look after our dog Wilf at home for a week whilst we were away and honestly think Wilf had a better time with her than he does with us! Communication in the lead up was excellent, she asked all the relevant questions to make sure she knew as much as possible about Wilf and his routine. Whilst at our house, she sent regular picture updates on what Wilf was up to and took him on lovely walks. Eliana was reliable in looking after the house, taking bins out etc. We came home to a very clean and tidy house with a lovely vase of flowers waiting for us which was very sweet and most importantly had a very happy dog! We will definitely be using Eliana again for dog sitting and have no hesitation in recommending her.
